In 1946, immediately after the Holocaust occurred, a nineteen year old woman named Rywka Ryback wrote a book about her experiences in the Ghetto & in numerous concentration camps. It is a powerful & moving story that I think everyone should read to raise the level of awareness of what it must have been like for the concentration camp prisoners. The book is a very detailed account of Rywka Rybak's experiences starting from the beginning of the war through the liquidation of the concentration camps. The book is just now being published because it had been lost for thirty-seven years until it was recently discovered, translated, & published with the hopes of helping to educate people as to what life was really like during the Holocaust. As the survivors grow older, there will be fewer first hand accounts of the Holocaust that are documented. It is my hope that this book can be used to help educate our youth so that they can better understand the tragedies that occurred. The more educated we are about the atrocities of the Holocaust, the less likely we are to repeat it. To order contact: Tricycle Press, 5124 Mayfield Road, #304, Cleveland, OH 44124.
