A collection of three children's stories about positive FAMILY LIFE - written by a precocious ten year old Detroit girl, Peggy Sue Moore. In 1983 this book was reviewed by the medical librarian of Detroit's Children's Hospital & later adapted to go into the PHYLLIS ANN COLBURN MEMORIAL LIBRARY located at that hospital. Peggy Sue Moore's father is a blue collar worker for Ford Motor Co. in Detroit - & one story contained in this book titled, "The Case of the Missing Lunchbox" details in a humorous way how frustrated her father was when a co-worker accidentally walked off with his lunchbox ... with his birthday surprise tucked inside. In 1983 the author along with this book gave an interview on Public Radio Station WQBH - & in that same year received a "Certificate of Merit" from the Detroit Branch NAACP. In 1987 the author received a 1st place Writing Award from Munger Middle School where she attended - & in 1989 she was profiled in the DETROIT FREE PRESS by staff writer, Dr. Louise Ritchie, who writes "Family Ties" for that paper.
