Barton D. Schmitt, M.D., F.A.A.P., has written more than one hundred articles for fellow pediatricians, as well as the book Pediatric Telephone Advice and the computer software program The Pediatric Advisor, used in physicians' offices and emergency rooms nationwide. Trained at Yale University, Cornell University Medical College, and the University of Minnesota pediatric program, he is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Director of General Consultative Services at The Children's Hospital of Denver.
