Dr. Martin Tucker, Professor Emeritus of Long Island University, is the editor of the prize-winning and internationally distributed literary journal, Confrontation. He is the author of several literary studies and his a widely published poet, with two collections in print – Homes of Locks and Mysteries (1982) and Attention Spans (1997). His reviews, essays, poems and stories have appeared in The New Republic; The Nation’ The Commonweal; The New York Times Book Review, and in various literary reviews. Dr. Tucker has served as Editor-in-Chief of Confrontation since 1970. Among the many awards he has received during his tenure as editor are two fellowships for distinguished achievement from the NEA and Coordinating Council of Literary Magazines.
