The purpose of this conference was the presentation of recent developments in the theoretical calculation of physical quantitites related to synchrotron radiation spectroscopies. In particular, extensive discussions were held on the calculation & interpretation of recent experimental results regarding the elastic x-ray scattering in manganites & transition metal oxides. Moreover, recent advances in the theoretical background of x-ray absorption, photoelectron diffraction & photoemission have been widely discussed.
