It helped propel Laxness to win the Nobel Prize in literature in 1955. --- This classic islandic novel has been translated into Esperanto by Baldur Ragnarsson.Laxness, Halldor Kiljan is the author of 'Sendependaj homoj (romantraduko en Esperanto)', published 2007 under ISBN 9781595690562 and ISBN 1595690565.
