Chapter 2 deals with minimizing functions of one variable. Chapter 3 describes methods for minimizing unconstrained functions of many variables. Chapters 4 through 9 deal with general constrained optimization. Chapter 10 describes the specific subject of structural optimization and Chapter 11 deals with general applications in mechanical, automotive and aerospace engineering.
