Nora Benton Oklahoma Territory 1894-1897

Nora is ten going on eleven when her daddy stakes a claim in the Cherokee Strip. Leaving a familiar home in Kansas, Nora worries about the move to Oklahoma Territory. Her new home is a sod house in an ocean of prairie grass. The one-room schoolhouse holds all eight grades. Indians and outlaws still roam the area.
