No other studio has created more familiar & beloved cartoon characters than Hanna-Barbera, & just about all of them started life in the mind of Joe Barbera. This is his story. Raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn, after high school he spent 6 years on Wall Street. After he saw Walt Disney's pioneering Skeleton Dance,Ó Barbera knew he wanted to draw animated cartoons. He worked in NY studios & then went to Hollywood. There, with Bill Hanna, he created Tom & Jerry, & transformed MGM's cartoon studio into the envy of the industry.
