Mizpah

The Old Testament is abundant with murder, mystery, and intrigue. Love, hate, plotting, rape, war, and death abound in huge quantities. Making sense of this is difficult for the researcher who is trained, how much more so for everyday individuals trying to comprehend goings-on in the wording of translations from centuries earlier, in other nations? The Mizpah gives a realistic, modern-language view of the Exodus and events following the Hebrew Invasion of Canaan at the time of the Judges. Interpretation in a more comprehensible format includes pointing up corruption of religious and tribal leaders. Taking the guesswork out of archaic terms, used to scuff the dirt of time over actual meaning of a passage, is a difficult task. The Mizpah has accomplished this rather handily. Any literary license is to stimulate interest in those we now call Jews, but in antiquity, they were called "The Hawwa" or the Children of Eve.
