This state of the art CD-ROM ancillary to Levinton's accessible Marine Biology text offers students a guided tour of marine environments (including rocky shores, deep sea vent, plankton, coral reefs, salt marshes, hot vents, soft bottoms, kelp forests, and marine larvae) in the form of a slideshow of over 250 color photographic images. It also features a self-test of 260 questions which is keyed to the chapters in the book, and access to the illustrations and captions from the text. Instructors can use a CD projector to display the images during their lectures or make transparencies fromthe images, and they can also make the disk available to students for browsing in a computer lab.
