Litany of Love

I am the third son and fourth of five children of Paul and Elizabeth (Betty) Burd, and brother to five other half siblings. I am a National Poet Laureate and National Judge Advocate for the National Library of Poetry. I have been published in several anthologies and have co-authored a book with twelve other poets, titled Baker’s Dozen. I write mostly love poems, the kind of love/loss a man feels for a woman, but often delve into other forms and themes. I have an insatiable appetite for word play, rhyme and rhythm. I love all kinds of poetry, but my first love is writing stories. I have two sisters, Barbara and Tina, who also write, and a brother, Kenny, who co-authored When Silver Turns to Gold,” published in this edition.
