This book is the fourth to be published in a series of volumes that will be the first complete scholarly catalogue of the Robert Lehman Collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art--a collection of paintings, drawings, and decorative-arts objects that possesses in itself the breadth and quality of a major museum. The 116 Italian drawings analyzed and discussed in this volume are largely from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
