Wladyslaw Kierat, Member of the Polish Mathematical Society, graduated from the Pedagogical University of Katowice, Poland, in 1958 and went on to obtain a doctoral degree at the Institute of Mathematics, Polish Academy of Sciences. He is currently at the Silesian University in Katowice where his main research interests revolve around applications of the theory of distributions and operational calculus to differential equations Urszula Sztaba studied mathematics at the Silesian University in Katowice, Poland, and obtained her doctoral degree there in 1978.
