The author was born and raised in Boston, MA. He joined the US Army and was stationed at Fort Polk, LA from 1989-1992. Following that, he went to Georgia State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He was accepted into the JET (Japan and Exchange Teaching) Program in August 1998.
