David Kavanamur, originally from the province of East New Britain, first entered the University of Papua New Guinea in 1986, where he is now lecturing in Public Policy and Mangagement. He holds a MPhil Development Studies from the International Development School at the University of Sussex. Charles Yala, from the province of Enga, studied at the University of Papua New Guinea before undertaking a Masters in Economics at Kent University in the United Kingdom. He is currently undertaking a PhD at The Australian National University and is a Senior Research Officer at the National Research Institute. Quinton Clements spent the first twenty years of his life in Papua New Guinea, living in a number of areas including Bougainville, Manus Island and Morobe Province. He has worked as an analyst on Papua New Guinean affairs for the Australian Government. He has extensive experience in Melanesian countries as a consultant and research scholar specialising in governance, nationalism and nation-building.
