Anglo-saxon Cemetery at Finglesham, Kent

"The Finglesham Anglo-Saxon cemetery is located in east Kent, some 4.5 km south of Sandwich. The first excavations carried out by W.P.D. Stebbling and W. Whiting in 1928-29 were followed by excavations between 1959 and 1967 directed by Sonia Chadwick Hawkes and financed by the Ministry of Public Buildingsand Works. The present report covers the 216 inhumation graves from the Hawkes excavations.
