Carol is the mother of two adult children. They experienced first hand the chaotic life of an alcoholic. They suffered neglect. They lost the foundation of a home. But now, after twenty-some years of sobriety, they have seen the evidence of God?s redeeming grace in their mother?s life. They saw her return to active duty as a Nurse, a poet, a teacher, and most of all, a mother they could count on. Carol has worked in hospitals in the fields of psychiatry, allergy immunology, and medical/surgical units, in Rochester, NY. She also graduated from the State University of New York, receiving a Bachelor of Arts. She integrated her love for literature and poetry into a Nursing Arts program for students in the inner city of Rochester. Carol writes, reads, and teaches poetry. She has taught in elementary schools in the Rochester, NY, area as well as Colorado. The favorite use of her poetry however is to write personal verses for loved ones and to craft cards, Victorian style. She currently lives in Clifton, CO. It is her goal to be a witness to God?s truth. At this time in her life she is content to fulfill the purposes God has planned for her through her writing. When she is not writing, she is talking to her cat, to the birds at the feeders, or playing the piano. The glory of Colorado mountains, meadows, and wildlife bring her joy-simple pleasures from the hand of God.
