The Arrestee Drug Abuse Monitoring (ADAM) program measures the extent of drug use in the high-risk population of people who have been arrested. This preliminary report presents the first highly reliable, probability-based findings from the ADAM program. These new findings will be useful to policymakers & practitioners who are shaping their drug policies to meet local needs. Of the 38 sites that participate in the ADAM program, data about male arrestees were available from 27 & are being released early.
